Vanisa Siler founded The Siler Firm in 2023 on the belief that every client deserves to be heard, taken seriously, and represented with care. A litigation and trial attorney, she represents individuals and businesses in criminal defense, juvenile defense, personal injury, corporate matters, and business disputes.

Vanisa earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati and her law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. During law school, she worked as a legal intern at the Ohio Justice & Policy Center, which serves people who are incarcerated or have returned home after incarceration. Its guiding words—“We don’t write people off”—have stayed with her. They reflect a principle she carries into her own practice: a person or case should never be dismissed on first impression.

Vanisa began her legal career as a trial attorney with Anastopoulo Law Firm, a personal injury firm serving clients throughout South Carolina. There, she chaired trials, examined witnesses, defended and conducted depositions, and represented clients in mediation. She developed a reputation within the firm for recognizing and presenting value in cases others had initially overlooked.

 

Since opening The Siler Firm, Vanisa has represented clients in magistrate court, circuit court, and federal court. She has served as defense counsel for minors in juvenile court and advocated for clients in administrative matters involving the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Her work has included successfully defending a client’s professional licenses before LLR.
